These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the HiredByThis CV and resume builder service ("Service") operated by HiredByThis ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Description of Service
HiredByThis is an online CV and resume builder that allows you to create, edit, and export professional resumes. The Service includes a drag-and-drop editor, rich text formatting, real-time PDF preview, photo upload, and PDF export.
Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address. Authentication is handled via passwordless magic links. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account, as it is the sole method of accessing your HiredByThis account.
Free and Pro Plans
Free plan. Create up to 2 CVs with full editing capabilities, real-time PDF preview, and unlimited PDF exports. No watermarks.
Pro plan. For $19, create unlimited CVs, access additional fonts and precise control over styles.
Payment Terms
Pro plan payments are processed securely by Stripe. By upgrading, you authorize us to charge your payment method the applicable fee. All fees are in US dollars. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis – contact us if you have concerns.
User Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create using the Service, including CV text, formatting, and uploaded photos. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without our written consent
- Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by HiredByThis and protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service does not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the Service.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HiredByThis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
