HiredByThis ("we", "our", "us") operates a CV and resume builder service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. We use passwordless magic link authentication – we do not store passwords.

CV content. The content you enter into your resumes, including text, formatting, and structure. This data is stored as structured JSON.

Photos. If you upload a profile photo, it is converted to WebP format and stored securely. Photos are associated with your account and specific CV.

Payment information. If you upgrade to our Pro plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details – Stripe handles all payment data in compliance with PCI-DSS standards. We only store a reference to your Stripe payment intent.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the service, including saving and rendering your CVs
  • Authenticate your identity via magic link emails
  • Process payments for the Pro plan
  • Send transactional emails related to your account (authentication, payment receipts)

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your CV content with third parties.

Third-Party Services

Supabase. We use Supabase for authentication, database storage, and file storage. Your data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase's privacy policy applies to their handling of your data.

Stripe. We use Stripe to process payments. When you make a purchase, your payment information is sent directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's privacy policy.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only – session cookies required for authentication. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely in Supabase's infrastructure. Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account. We implement server-side access controls to ensure users can only access their own data.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your CV data (available via Copy Prompt)

Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
